What it is	This program lets you study the ideas, cultures, and creative works that shape human society — choosing from subjects like English, history, languages, drama, and philosophy. Unlike science or engineering programs, humanities focus on interpretation, argument, and understanding rather than technical problem-solving. It suits people who enjoy reading, writing, discussing ideas, and exploring different cultures and time periods, and the co-op option lets you apply those skills in workplaces beyond campus.	History at Brock is the study of past human societies, events, and ideas, and how they shape the world today. You'll analyze primary sources, examine different interpretations of historical events, and develop research and writing skills. This program includes optional work terms where you apply historical thinking to jobs in archives, museums, government, or cultural organizations.	A BA General with an Area of Concentration lets you study one subject in depth — say English Studies or Economics — while taking electives across other humanities and social sciences.
