Sociology is the study of how people live together in groups, families, communities, and societies. You'll examine social patterns, inequality, culture, and institutions to understand why people behave the way they do and how social structures shape our lives. This program suits people curious about society and human behaviour who want to think critically about how the world works.	A BA General with an Area of Concentration lets you study one subject in depth — say English Studies or Economics — while taking electives across other humanities and social sciences. Unlike a specialized honours program, this approach gives you flexibility to explore multiple fields without committing fully to a single discipline. It suits students who have a clear interest in one area but want room to discover related subjects and keep career options open.	Arts One is a broad first-year program that lets you explore multiple humanities and social science subjects — including anthropology, history, English, economics, and geography — before deciding on a major.
