What it isThis program teaches you how the brain and nervous system work at every level, from cells and molecules to behaviour and thought. You study human biology, chemistry, and mathematics alongside neuroscience courses that explore how neurons communicate and how damage or disease affects the mind and body. If you choose co-op, you'll alternate between classroom study and paid work terms at research labs or hospitals, giving you real experience alongside your degree. You study human movement, exercise science, and how the body responds to physical activity, then transition directly into specialized training in physiotherapy — hands-on treatment of injuries and movement disorders. This five-year combined program lets you earn both a bachelor's and master's degree without applying separately, and it leads to eligibility for physiotherapy licensing. It suits students drawn to science-based healthcare who want to work hands-on with patients recovering from injury or managing physical disabilities.Kinesiology is the study of human movement, exercise, and sport from biological and physical perspectives. You'll learn anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and exercise science to understand how bodies move and respond to physical activity. The BA offers broader flexibility in electives; the BSc includes more chemistry, physics, and advanced quantitative analysis, preparing you better for research or health science pathways. It suits people interested in exercise science, athletic performance, rehabilitation, or health promotion who want science grounded in practical movement.
