Prerequisites
- English, ENG4U
- Biology, SBI4U
- A grade 12 U-level Math or grade 11 or 12 U-level Physics are recommended to prepare for senior Kinesiology subjects in biomechanics, research methods, and statistics.
- It is strongly recommended that students interested in the BSc program take an additional grade 12 Math or Science like Calculus, Pre-calculus, or Chemistry.
- SCH4U is a prerequisite for first-year Chemistry courses.
What to watch for
Western says it outright: 'Though Kinesiology is technically in the Faculty of Health Sciences, it is a direct-entry program.' Kinesiology is EP and Health Sciences is EW, so wanting both means two separate OUAC choices. Requires ENG4U and SBI4U; a Grade 12 U math and Grade 11/12 physics are recommended for senior subjects. You choose BA vs BSc and your module later, but SCH4U is a prerequisite for the first-year chemistry the BSc needs.
