Guelph admission requirements

98% of Guelph's 48 programs require ENG4U, 69% require MHF4U. Published ranges run from 65% to 85%.

Counted across every Guelph program listed on OUInfo for September 2027 entry. Each program’s own page has its exact wording; this page is the shape of the whole university.

The courses Guelph asks for

How many of Guelph’s 48 programs name each course as required. A required course is forced into your admission average — it counts even if it is not one of your best six.

What you need, by set of courses

Guelph’s programs grouped by the exact courses they require, most common set first, with the span of their published ranges. If your timetable matches a set, every program in it is open to you on courses.

Where the published ranges sit

Every Guelph program with a published range, by the bottom of that range. A range is what the university says it will consider, not what it admits at — read the guide to what a range means.

1 program publishes no range at all.

Your Grade 11 marks

We will use final Grade 11 U/M grades where midterm or final Grade 12 U/M grades are not available to fulfill required courses.

To fulfill conditions of an offer of admission, students must complete 6 Grade 12 and/or 4U/M courses, including required subjects.

Note: Students applying to a program that requires two 4U maths (e.g., Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Mathematics) must present a midterm or final grade in at least one 4U math course to be considered for admission.
