When you choose criminology

During Plan Selection at the end of first year, once you're registered in the Faculty of Arts and Science..

What to watch for

Queen's Kingston has no standalone "Criminology" degree or OUAC code — don't confuse it with Queen's University Belfast, which does offer a BA in Criminology (a totally different school). At Queen's Kingston, criminology is taught as one of the core specialization areas inside the Sociology program (alongside streams like Media/Surveillance and Power/Inequality), so you apply from Grade 12 to Arts (QA), get admitted into the Faculty of Arts and Science, and then choose the Sociology plan through Plan Selection after first year, taking criminology-focused SOCY courses within it. There is no separate criminology application stream, deadline, or code to worry about — just make sure your first-year courses meet the Sociology plan's prerequisites so you're eligible to select it.

The same application also gets you to

Arts is the entry point for 9 other majors at Queen's. You are not choosing between these at application time.
