What it isPre-Engineering is a one-year program that strengthens your math and science foundations before you move into a specialized engineering degree. You'll take courses in chemistry, physics, and advanced mathematics to prepare for civil, mechanical, electrical, or general engineering programs. It's designed for students who want to study engineering but need to build up their technical skills first.Nuclear engineering teaches you how to design, build, and safely operate nuclear reactors and systems that produce power or are used in medicine and industry. The co-op option means you alternate between classroom terms and paid work terms at nuclear facilities or related companies, giving you real workplace experience before you graduate. The engineering and management version adds business and organizational skills alongside the technical training. This program suits students who want hands-on engineering work combined with workplace learning and have strong math and science foundations. You study how to design and operate industrial processes that transform raw materials into useful products, with a focus on chemistry, environmental impact, and metals. This program includes a mandatory work-study component where you alternate between classroom terms and paid job placements in engineering firms. It suits students strong in math and science who want hands-on experience and prefer learning through real workplace projects alongside theory.Honours Science is a broad science degree where you choose your major from fields like biology, chemistry, environmental science, computer science, or archaeology. Unlike a general science program, an honours degree requires you to specialize in one subject and complete more advanced courses in that area. It suits students who want a strong grounding in science but haven't yet decided on one specific career path, or who want deeper knowledge in a particular field.
