What it is	Pre-Engineering is a one-year program that strengthens your math and science foundations before you move into a specialized engineering degree. You'll take courses in chemistry, physics, and advanced mathematics to prepare for civil, mechanical, electrical, or general engineering programs. It's designed for students who want to study engineering but need to build up their technical skills first.	Computer engineering combines the design of computer hardware with the software that runs on it. You'll study circuits, processors, programming, and systems that integrate both. The co-op stream lets you alternate between classroom and paid work terms at tech companies, giving you real industry experience alongside your degree, which sets it apart from the straight four-year option.	Engineering at Western teaches you to design and build solutions to practical problems using mathematics, science, and materials.
