What it is	This program teaches you to perform and interpret diagnostic tests on blood, tissue, and other body samples in hospitals and labs. It focuses on the hands-on skills and scientific knowledge that lab technicians use to help doctors diagnose disease. The Northern Access Initiative means the program is designed for students from remote or underserved regions of Ontario, with support to help you succeed in a full-time, lab-based career.	This program lets you design your own degree by combining courses from multiple fields — anthropology, chemistry, English, history, philosophy, law, media studies, and others — rather than following a single major. You choose which subjects to focus on and how much depth in each, creating a customized path that suits your interests.
