What it is	This program teaches you to perform and interpret diagnostic tests on blood, tissue, and other body samples in hospitals and labs. It focuses on the hands-on skills and scientific knowledge that lab technicians use to help doctors diagnose disease. The Northern Access Initiative means the program is designed for students from remote or underserved regions of Ontario, with support to help you succeed in a full-time, lab-based career.	Life Sciences at UTM lets you study how living systems work, from the structure of molecules to human health and evolution. You can focus on areas like molecular biology, biotechnology, human biology, or anthropology depending on your interests. The program includes optional co-op work terms that let you gain hands-on experience in labs, hospitals, or research settings alongside your coursework — useful if you're considering health professions or research careers.	Life Sciences is a broad study of living organisms, their cells, genetics, and chemistry at the molecular level. You'll take core courses in biology, chemistry, and biochemistry, then choose a focus like microbiology, biotechnology, or human biology depending on your interests. The co-op option lets you alternate between school and paid work terms in research labs, hospitals, or biotech companies, giving you real experience alongside your degree.	A Biology degree at Glendon lets you study how living things work, from cells and molecules to whole organisms and ecosystems. You'll take core biology courses and choose from specialized areas like genetics, microbiology, human biology, or biotechnology. The iBSc variant integrates bilingual (English–French) instruction throughout your degree, rather than offering biology taught only in English.
