What it is	This is a one-year diploma focused on how governments design and carry out policies that affect society — things like healthcare, education, welfare, and environmental rules. You study the politics behind policy decisions and learn how social policies actually get made and implemented. It suits people who already have a completed degree or college diploma and want to shift into policy work without committing to another full bachelor's degree.	Social Sciences is the study of how people, societies, and economies work. You choose from nine subject areas including anthropology, economics, history, law, geography, politics, and sociology, and can combine them however you want rather than following one fixed path. This program suits students curious about human behaviour, institutions, and the world around them who want flexibility to explore multiple disciplines before specializing.	You study how cities and regions develop, grow, and change, combining geography, planning, politics, and social policy to understand urban and rural environments. This program emphasizes the interconnected nature of these topics rather than treating them as separate disciplines. Co-op work terms are available, letting you gain practical experience in planning offices, government agencies, or development organizations alongside your coursework.
