What it isComputer Science is the study of how to design, build, and understand software and computer systems. At Ontario Tech, you can choose between a straight science degree or combine it with management courses, which prepares you for roles where you lead tech projects or teams. The program includes a co-op component, giving you paid work terms at companies alongside your classes, which suits students who want real experience before graduating.Honours Science is a broad science degree where you choose your major from fields like biology, chemistry, environmental science, computer science, or archaeology. Unlike a general science program, an honours degree requires you to specialize in one subject and complete more advanced courses in that area. It suits students who want a strong grounding in science but haven't yet decided on one specific career path, or who want deeper knowledge in a particular field.A Bachelor of Arts and Sciences lets you combine study in both humanities and natural sciences within one degree. Unlike most programs that require you to choose either arts or sciences, this one lets you take courses across both — for instance, pairing creative writing with chemistry, or anthropology with animal science. It suits people who are curious across multiple disciplines and want flexibility rather than specializing narrowly from the start.
