What it isBiomedical Science is the study of how the human body works at the cellular and molecular level, using tools from biology and chemistry to understand disease and develop treatments. The co-op option requires you to complete paid work terms at labs, hospitals, or research facilities alongside your studies, giving you real experience in the field. This program suits students who want hands-on exposure to medical science before deciding whether to pursue medicine, dentistry, or research careers.Biochimie is the study of chemical processes inside living cells and organisms, combining chemistry and biology at the molecular level. You'll learn how proteins, enzymes, and other molecules work together to keep cells alive. This program includes a co-op work placement, so you alternate between classroom learning and paid jobs in labs or biotech companies, and it's taught in French. You study how the human body works during physical activity and exercise, with a focus on practical fitness coaching and health education. Unlike a straight kinesiology degree, this program combines your bachelor's degree with a separate diploma in fitness promotion, giving you both theoretical science knowledge and hands-on certifications suited to personal training and community health roles. It suits people who want a science-based foundation but also want direct, applied skills they can use right after graduation.
