What it is	Social Science is a broad study of how people, societies, and economies work. You choose a focus like economics, anthropology, history, or business studies, then take courses across that field. Western offers this as either a BA or BSc depending on your focus, and you can do it with co-op, meaning you alternate between school terms and paid work placements in your field.	A Bachelor of Science (General) lets you study science broadly across biology, chemistry, environmental science, and related fields, choosing your own mix of courses rather than specializing deeply in one area. Unlike an honours program, it gives you flexibility to explore multiple sciences without committing to a single major or meeting the tighter requirements of a specialized stream. This suits students who are curious about science in general but aren't yet sure which direction appeals to them most.
