When you choose medical sciences

At Plan Selection after first year, when you choose a Life Sciences plan and sub-plan such as Biomedical Sciences.

What to watch for

Queen's does not use the name "Medical Sciences" — that is Western's program name, and searching it at Queen's returns nothing. The equivalent pre-med style degrees are Life Sciences (QL) and the Bachelor of Health Sciences (QH). Marked as non-direct because there is no Medical Sciences code to apply to: you enter QL and pick a plan plus sub-plan (Biomedical Sciences is the closest fit) after first year. QL requires English 4U, Calculus and Vectors 4U, Biology 4U and Chemistry 4U; QH requires Bio, Chem, English at 80% and one of the two maths.

The same application also gets you to

Life Sciences and Biochemistry is the entry point for 4 other majors at Queen's. You are not choosing between these at application time.
