When you choose accounting
You don't pick Accounting on your OUAC application. You apply to the broad "Commerce & Management" (TMG) entry point, and then formally request the Accounting Specialist as your "Subject POSt" (Program of Study) once you're a UTM student — after completing the required first-year courses (Intro to Financial Accounting, Intro to Management Functions, an economics course, and a calculus course) with the minimum grade in each..
What to watch for
There's no separate OUAC code for accounting at UTM — it lives inside the "Commerce: Accounting - Specialist (BCom)" program, which is a limited-enrolment Subject POSt you apply for internally, not at OUAC application time. Entry is competitive: you need roughly 63% minimum in each of MGT120H5 (Intro to Financial Accounting), MGM101H5 (Intro to Management Functions), an economics prerequisite (ECO101H5+ECO102H5 or ECO100Y5), and a calculus course (MAT133Y5 or MAT135H5+MAT136H5), plus the department sets an annual competitive cutoff average on top of that minimum — so just passing first year isn't automatically enough to get into Accounting specifically. Also note this Accounting Specialist can't be combined with the Management (Major/Specialist), Digital Enterprise Management, or Human Resource Management Specialist programs, so students shouldn't assume they can double up.

Commerce & Management is the entry point for 2 other majors at U of T (Mississauga). You are not choosing between these at application time.
