Education at U of T (Scarborough)

Not offered at UTSC (Concurrent Teacher Education Program suspended to new enrolments)

What to watch for

UTSC used to let students enter a 5-year Concurrent Teacher Education Program (CTEP) straight from high school, earning a BA/BSc/BBA plus a BEd together. The UTSC Calendar now states this program is suspended, so no current OUAC code on this campus's list leads into it. To become a teacher after studying at UTSC, you'd first finish a regular undergraduate degree (e.g. Social Sciences & Humanities, Life Sciences, etc. from the list) and then apply separately, as a second-entry step, to a consecutive Bachelor of Education program - either through OISE at U of T (via the School of Graduate Studies, not OUAC) or through another Ontario university's Faculty of Education via the Teacher Education Application Service (TEAS). So there is genuinely no Grade 12 route into 'education' at UTSC itself right now; pick an undergraduate major you like and plan for teacher's college afterward.
