Education at U of T (St. George)

Not offered at St. George as a Grade 12 program — Education is a second-entry program at OISE (Bachelor of Education), applied to via TEAS after completing an undergraduate degree

What to watch for

There is no OUAC undergraduate code for Education at U of T St. George. Teacher training happens at OISE (Ontario Institute for Studies in Education), which only admits students who already hold a bachelor's degree. Applicants apply through TEAS (Teacher Education Application Service), a completely separate system from the OUAC 101 undergraduate application a high schooler fills out. A Grade 12 student who wants to become a teacher should pick a related undergraduate major (e.g. through Humanities, Social Sciences, or Life Sciences) first, finish that degree, then apply to OISE's Bachelor of Education afterward. Note: "Music Education (TD)" in the supplied list is a Bachelor of Music program with an education specialization, not a route into general K-12 teacher certification — don't confuse the two.
